
Lynn Murray (2001-2004) Lynn attended Wheeler High School as part of the first class through the Wheeler Magnet Program for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. During her four years at Wheeler, Lynn was a 4-year letter winner as the goalkeeper for the varsity girls' soccer team, and a team captain her junior and senior years. In addition to being voted Wheeler team MVP three of her four years, Lynn was selected as the Georgia Gatorade Soccer Player of the Year her senior year.
Through the Georgia Soccer Olympic Development Program, Lynn was selected and played at the Adidas Elite Soccer Player National Camp (2002), U-19 US Women's National Team Camps in 2003 and 2005, and was a SoccerBuzz Top 50 college recruit.
As well as playing at Wheeler, Lynn also played on the United Quest Soccer Club Red '85 with many other Cobb County soccer standouts. The team won the Georgia State Championships five times, the Southeast Regional Championship (2004), and were ranked third nationally.
Lynn went on to play soccer on scholarship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She was selected to the Big Ten All Freshman Team in her first year (2004). During her career at Wisconsin, the team made two NCAA tournament appearances (2004, 2005) and won the Big Ten Tournament (2005). Lynn graduated as a four-year varsity letter winner at Wisconsin with a BS in Biomedical Engineering.
After graduating from Wisconsin, Lynn moved to Christchurch, New Zealand to continue studying at the University of Canterbury. In New Zealand, Lynn played soccer for the University of Canterbury women's club (2011 - 2013) and won goalkeeper of the year in 2012. Lynn also played for the local 11am men's-club team and took up indoor soccer for the first time. Lynn also served as the goalkeeping coach for the Canterbury Pride, a regional team in NZ women's national league. She graduated in 2013 with a PhD in biomateria Is.
Lynn moved back to the Atlanta area after graduation and now works as an innovation research associate at a small consulting firm in Midtown. Lynn continues to play soccer and engage in the local soccer community by playing in the Georgia Adult Women's Soccer League and cheering on the Atlanta United.
