Aries ran track throughout his four years at Wheeler. During his senior year his stats were astounding: he was the state champion in the 11Om hurdles, setting a school record of 13.76, that time was 2nd nationally; he also went undefeated in this event during the season; he was the State Runner-up in the 300m hurdles (36.61), another school record and 4th nationally; he ran the 3rd leg on 4x100 relay team that ran 41.14 and ranked 9th nationally; he ran the 2nd leg on 4x400 relay team that ran 3: 14.14 and ranked 3rd nationally; he ran 10.78 in the 100m dash, all the while carrying a 3.6 GPA. That year the Wheeler Track Team won the State Championship.
Aries was recruited by Tennessee, South Carolina, Alabama, and Florida, but he committed to Tennessee. His first year at UT he set the-freshman record in 110 hurdles with a time of 13.62. He was 4th in the nation at the NCAA Championships. He ran at UT from 2003-2006, and was a 7 time All American. His fastest time was 13.21 which was the second fastest time ever in NCAA history.
He turned pro after college and ran for Reebok and Nike. On September 7, 2012 he broke the World Record in Belgium for the 100 hurdles, running a time of 12.80, and he was the 2012 World Indoor Champion in Istanbul, Turkey, with a time of 7.44 in the 60m hurdles.
At the 2012 London Olympics, Aries was the GOLD MEDAL Champion in the 110 hurdles with a time of 12.92. At the time, he was also the World Record holder of this event with a time of 12.80. In the 2015 World Championships in Beijing, China, Aries won a BRONZE MEDAL
In 2015 Aries was a recipient of a kidney transplant recipient, which his sister Latoya courageously donated to him. He returned to the sport in 2017, and he went on to make the World Team and became ranked 3rd in the world.
Aries is 33 years old and lives in Arizona. He is close to his mother Linda Hubbard, sister Latoya, and niece Lela. Aries enjoys playing video games as a hobby. He is currently recovering from knee surgery and is sitting out the indoor season to be ready for the outdoor season. He has continued to run professionally for Nike.
